University of Pittsburgh's Single Jeopardy Game Board

Optimized for Nescape Navigator, v4.7. Also checked for Internet Explorer 5.0.

Several pages will auto launch a sound file if your computer is configured for sound; if your computer is not configured
    for sound, you may get a pop-up box to the effect that a component is missing. You can either go get the component
    or just "cancel" to ignore the playing of the sound files.
          On the site home page: audio is the Jeopardy theme clip.
          On the discipline sub-home pages - audio is the applause clip.
Sound plug-in for the Mac: Quick-Time.     Sound plug-in for the PC: Real-Player
(On a Mac, if after installing Quick-Time, you still cannot hear the sound files, check that in the Netscape Preferences/Applications area that "wav" files are identified to use the Quick-Time plug-in.)

Several questions require MDL's CHIME Browser chemical structure manipulator plug-in; the same files can be displayed via ChemDraw's browser plug-in module..

The programming is such that the game board and each individual answer board should essentially fill the entire screen area.

These Netscape Settings work very well for a portable computer with a 14.1" screen:
     "Close" all tool bars by clicking on the very left edge of each tool bar.
     Use Preferences (Edit Menu) to...
            disable underlining of hotlinks.
            Set Appearance/Font width to 12.

These Internet Explorer settings work very well for a portable computer with a 14.1" screen:
     "Close" all possible tool bars by selecting the View menu, Toolbars option, and removing all checkmarks.
     Use Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Browsing to disable underlining of hotlinks.
     Use View/Font Size/Medium as a starting font size; adjust larger or smaller as appropriate during game play.

To "redisplay" visited links on the game boards, clear the "History" in the Edit/Preferences menu item of Netscape.
(The coding sets visited links to the background color effectively hiding them.)

On IE, from the "Tools" menu item, select "Internet Options", then from the "General Tab" in the pop-up Internet Options control panel, click the "Clear History" button and then "Yes". Then close the control panel and click the "refresh" button on the toolbar.

Best viewed with 1024 x 768 pixels on the screen (set via Screen Properties on PCs and Monitor control panel on Macs).
