IMPORTANT UPDATE - If you have not yet updated your CAChe licence, click here to find out how! Without updating your CAChe software licence you will not be able to save files!

Welcome to CACC's homepage. Here you will find information pertaining expanding the chemistry curriculum to include a computer program called Cache. This software is designed to enhance learning in chemistry classrooms by modeling molecules and assisting in making advanced calculations an measurements. This project transcends several campuses including Greensburg, Johnstown, Pittsburgh, and Titusville.

If you already have the Cache software installed on your computer then you're ready to try some of the tutorials. However, if you have not yet downloaded and installed Cache you can find out how to do so by clicking here

Everything from the old homepage of CACC has now been assimilated into the new CACC website. However, if you still wish to view the old homepage, you may do so by clicking here.
New General Chem. Activity Posted 2/10/05
A new student activity has been posted on the General Chemistry Activities Page that was written by Ping Y. Furlan. It is called "Predicting the Fuel Values of Common Fuels Using CAChe - ProjectLeader." Also, The General Chemistry Activities Page and the Downloads Page have undergone some minor maintainence.
Update your CAChe Licence! 1/9/05
If you installed CAChe before January 2005 and have not updated your software licence, click here to learn how. The Course Activity pages have been added, and can be accessed by clicking the corresponding links found on the menubar on the left side of this website. Dr. Furlan submitted a student activity that can be downloaded from the "general chemistry" section of Course Activites.
Training Modules Updated 7/29/04
In case you haven't noticed, the CACC website hosts five traing modules, created by Fujitsu, that can be located in the Downloads section of our website. These modules, for the most part, are based on Microsoft's Power Point software and cantain supplemental manuals in Adobe PDF form, and sample chemical sample files. Each module now has its own descriptive download page that explains to interested parties which topics each will cover, as well as instructions covering how to access these modules.
Updates and Reorganization 7/28/04
Development of the CACC site was temporarily paused while many of the CACC intructors attended a conference in Iowa. Now that the conference has ended work will now continue. Many new useful links have been added to the Other Resources section of our site. In addition, the Downloads section has been reorganized. Work is underway on an 'exercise template' that will allow instructors to post chemistry exercises for students on this website.
