The Tool Palette provides Selection tools, Drawing tools and Manipulation tools.

Select Tool With the select tool use the mouse pointer to select atoms and bonds in the chemical sample window. Click here for more details.
Select entire molecule With this tool use the mouse pointer to select whole molecules. Click here for more details.
Select similar With this tool use the mouse pointer to select similar atoms. Click here for more details.
Group select  
Atom Tool With the atom or drawing tool, use the mouse pointer to draw chemical structures. It's the basic tool for putting together your molecules. Click here for more details.
Rotate This tool allows you to rotate your molecule in the x-y plane (inside the circle) or around the z-axis (outside the circle).  Click here for more details.
Translate This button turns the cursor into a hand and will move all the atoms in the workspace. Click here for more details.
Zoom  The zoom button changes the cursor to a magnifying glass. Move in and out to shrink or enlarge the molecule. Click here for more details.

Move forward to explore the components of the Style Bar.
