If you installed CAChe prior to January 2005 and have not yet updated your software licence, follow these directions to do so. (Note: Not updating your licence will result in your inability to save your files in CAChe!

| 1. | Navigate to http://software.pitt.edu. Click the "CONNECT" button.
|
| 2. | You will be prompted to enter your Pitt user ID and password. After doing so, click "Ok".
|
| 3. | Click the drop-down menu that says "All Categories". Scroll down and click "Chemistry". Then click the "Go" button.
|
| 4. | Click the link titled "CAChe" that is next to the version number "6.1.10".
|
| 5. | Now click "Download in Larger Segments", then in the next window click "CacheLicence.zip". Save this file to a location you will remember (such as your desktop).
|
| 6. | Use file extractor software such as WinRar or Aladdin Expander (which can also be downloaded from http://software.pitt.edu) to unzip the file (a single .txt file) to a location that you will remember such as your desktop.

| 7. | Now open the CAChelicence updater by clicking Start | Programs | CAChe | Update Licence.
|
| 8. | Click the radio that corresponds to "File that contains the licence key" and open the .txt file you extracted from CacheLicence.zip. Then click "OK".
|
| 9. | Your Licence is now up to date and will not need to be re-updated until December 2005.
