Click here to get the form that must be filled out to check out the tablet. Once you have filled out the form, take it to the Chemistry Teaching Stockroom, CSC-201, and pick up a tablet. The tablets come in two types, either with a serial connection (75% of the tablets are this type) or with a USB connection (25% of the tablets) - be sure to know which type you want before going to the stockroom. If you follow exactly the instructions provided with the tablet, installation is trivial.

Wacom, the maunfacturer of the Graphire (and Intuos) Drawing Tablets used in this course, regularly updates its drivers to expand their functionality and ease-of-use. These drivers are available free at the above site. After you have installed the driver, manuals and bundle software from the Graphire CD (the one that came with the tablet), you can download the latest driver at any time and easily install it over the previously installed version.

The tablets must be returned before the formal end of the semester or a hold will be placed on your transcript. Be sure to keep all boxes, packing materials, and instructions, and to return the tablet in the same condition and packed as you received it.
