Congratulations to the Squirrel Hill Colt team who captured the City's BIG League Championship at the 6:30pm, Friday, 1 August game at PNC Park, defeating McKeesport #2 13-1. The final version of the bracket is available on the Schedules page.  (Photographs by M. Sufrin)


Congratulations to the Mayor's Cup Team for their Runners-Up finish in the 21-team, single elimination tournament (3W, 1L; last game played 7/31/08)

Congratulations to the Sq Hill 10 All Star Team for their First-Place finish in the Brookline double-elimination tournament (5W, 1L; last game played 7/27/08)


Congratulations to the Sq Hill 10 All Star Team for their Runners-Up finish in the Etna tournament (2W, 2L; last game played 7/9/08)


Congratulations to the Sq Hill 10 All Star Team for their First-place finish in the Kennedy tournament (4W, 1L; last game played 7/17/08)

Congratulations to the Sq Hill 11 All Star Team for a 16-Win/3-Loss 2008 Travel Season. They won the West Mifflin tournament (picture above), finished second in both the Squirrel Hill and Kennedy tournaments, and finished third in the Upper St Clair tournament.

 


The 12A Squirrel Hill All-Star travel team ends their season with a no-hitter win at the Robinson Tourney, against South Fayette, pitched by Hunter Mervis and Mike Melrose. Alex Baretta and Avery Feingold hit home runs and the team played error-free all night! Mary Mervis' pictures are posted here.
