Directions to Penn Township's Municipal Sports Complex

Driving Directions 1 (Most Direct Route)
(distributed to All Star teams in summer 2006.  In non-rush hour conditions, total driving time from Lederman field is about 35 minutes, and the distance is 21 miles.)

  1. Take Parkway Rte 376 to Monroeville.

  2. Take Rte 22 east toward Murrysville (set trip odometer to 0 when getting on to Rte 22).

  3. Turn right at McDonalds at traffic light, onto Trafford road (T.O. = 3.2 mi.).

  4. Cross RR tracks, stay to left through 2 quick Y intersections, following Pleasant Valley Road.

  5. Left onto Rte 130 (Eckerd Drug Store on the corner) (T.O. = 7.9 mi.).

  6. Pass Penn Trafford high school on your right (T.O. = 9.4 mi).

  7. At traffic light, left onto Walnut street (T.O. = 9.6 mi.).

  8. Left onto Municipal Court (T.O. = 9.7 mi.).

  9. Take first right into parking lot (watch out for no parking signs)

 

Driving Directions 2 (Alternate Route)
(distributed to All Star teams in summer 2004; travel time from Squirrel Hill approximately 40 minutes)

  1. Take Parkway to Monroeville Exit (7.5 miles).

  2. Stay straight to go onto Haymaker Rd (PA 48 Orange; 1 mile).

  3. Turn slight left onto Haymaker Road (0.5 miles).

  4. Turn slight left onto Saunders Station Rd (1.5 miles).

  5. Saunders Station becomes Saunders Rd (0.2 miles).

  6. Turn LEFT onto Meadowbrook Rd (2.35 miles).

  7. Turn LEFT onto 130 and continue past the Eckerd Drug Store and Penn Trafford High School as mentioned in Driving Directions #1 (3 miles).

  8. At the traffic light, go LEFT onto Walnut Street.

  9. LEFT into Municipal Court.
