The goal for the meeting was to come up with the agenda for this year .
The following topics which were from the 8-9-02 meeting were discussed:
· It was decided that a 1 day short course on fundamentals for interpretation of Organic mass spec data and some applications in proteomics would be targeted for November. Amit Ghosh volunteered to ask Prof. Sparkman to give the course. We would consider providing copies of his book to class participants.
· A short course in Inorganic Mass Spec., such as, ICPMS, would be targeted for early next year.
· An Open Dinner Meeting (topic to be determined) would be held in early spring.
We agreed that Brian will discuss with Ron Bargiel special funding to support Mark Bier’s effort to get speakers for a Proteomics and Mass Spec session at the October 2003 ACS meeting in Pittsburgh .
